Sea World

There's no place in the world like Sea World, San Diego. The park consists of 200 acres of marine adventure! Thrilling animal encounters, fantastic rides, and unforgettable shows await you. Learn about the animals you encounter by visiting the many workstations and computer terminals throughout the park. You can even feed dolphins, stingrays, and sea lions. (Check feeding schedules ahead of time so you can plan to be available.)

San Diego Zoo

Located north of downtown San Diego in Balboa Park, the world famous San Diego Zoo cares for more than 4,000 animals, representing 800 species, inside its 100-acre compound. It is also one of the largest exhibitors of botanicals with about 700,000 exotic plants in its collection. Also, be sure to check out the seasonal exhibits.

Wild Animal Park

Experience a unique adventure at the 1,800-acre preserve where you can view wild, ferocious animals as they wander freely in surroundings much like their natural habitats. This park is also renowned for it botanical collection of 1.5 million specimens. You can find the park 35 miles north of downtown San Diego near Escondido.

Lego Land

Located in Carlsbad, just north of San Diego, this theme park is a favorite of children and is built for fun with more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions to thrill the entire family. "Heroes Wanted" is the theme of the park and the park's goal is to make every member of the family a hero!

Knott's Soak City

Knott's Soak City is a great place to bring the family! Experience the wave pool, the many slides and tubes; float down a lazy river on an inner tube, or sun yourself as you lounge by the pool. (Seasonal; open May 20-21, but closed 5/22-26, then open May 27-Sept. 4 Daily. Sept. 9-24 - Open weekends ONLY)

Disneyland

The magic of Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure is only a few hours from San Diego. Come to the magic kingdom for adventure and fun of all kinds: shows, parades, and rides. Don't forget to stay for the spectacular nighttime entertainment!

Ocean Beach Pier

Close to our Ocean Beach bungalows, the Ocean Beach Municipal Pier is open to the public. If you want to fish, no license is required! And, bait can be purchased right on the pier. Dine in the cafe or just stroll on the pier. Take in the stunning views of the bays and the surrounding hills, all from the longest pier on the west coast (about 1/3 mile long).

Robb Field

Top quality athletic complex, featuring: fitness club; skateboard park; basketball, handball, and tennis courts; softball and multi-purpose playing fields; and picnicking and playground facilities. Located just 3 blocks from Ocean Beach bungalows.

Mission Bay

Covering over 4,000 acres, about half land and half water, Mission Bay Park is one of San Diego's most fun-filled spots to visit. The largest man-made aquatic park in the United States offers a variety of recreational opportunities: boat docks and launches, sailboat and motorboat rentals, biking/walking paths, basketball courts, and playgrounds for children. No need to worry about getting cold at evening. The park provides fire rings to keep you warm or to cook over, if you desire.

San Diego Bay

San Diego Bay features a number of attractions, events, and services, including: touring, restaurants, 16 beautifully landscaped parks, shopping centers, and cruise ships. For art lovers, visit the internationally recognized Tidelands Collection.

Mission Beach

Enjoy the sand and surf, along with boardwalk activities: roller blading, skateboarding, walking, running, and bicycling. Belmont Park is located here (see description below).

Belmont Park

A beachfront amusement park, featuring rides, concessions, and entertainment. Be sure to ride The Big Dipper, one of the oldest coasters on the west coast (restored and re-opened in 1990). Take the plunge at the Wave House and "hang ten" on the FlowRider, which provides the endless wave for your surfing enjoyment.

Balboa Park

America's largest urban cultural park with a variety of museums and activities. San Diego Zoo is located here, but there are also a multitude of other interesting attractions, including 15 major museums, plays, concerts, and gardens. Something new is always happening here, so stop at the Visitor's Center to check the calendar for special events.

Fiesta Island - Over the Line

Located on Mission Bay, this island features a public beach where you can enjoy beach activities, like swimming and water skiing. Stay late; bonfires will keep you warm. This island is famous for the OTL (over-the-line) softball tournaments.

Dog Lovers Alert:
For those of you with "Pooch Pets," Dog Beach is the place for you! This venue offers an opportunity for your pet to get some off-leash freedom.

Old Town

Considered the birthplace of California, Historic Old Town San Diego is home to Old Town Trolley Tours, Sheriff's Museum, art galleries, historic buildings/sites, Presidio Park, Heritage Park, restaurants, and specialty shops.

Sport Fishing

Sea Port Village
